Mehran Taghipour-Gorjikolaie
Dr. Mehran Taghipour-Gorjikolaie received his Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering (applications of Machine Learning) in early 2016. He was a visiting researcher in the area of Biometrics at PRAlab, Cagliari, Italy in 2015. He also worked as an assistant professor at the University of Birjand, from Sep 2016 to August 2021. In the last few years, he collaborated in research projects with several universities around the world such as: University of Utrecht, University of Strathclyde, and University of Surrey. Currently, he is a research fellow in Computer Vision and AI applied in Veterinary Sciences at the Center for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) in the University of Surrey. His field of expertise and his main research interests are applications of AI and Machine Learning in the areas of Medicine, Engineering, Biometrics, and Veterinary Sciences.
